Beatrice is currently a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley and is double majoring in Public Health, Infectious Diseases emphasis, and Integrative Biology, Human Biology and Health Sciences emphasis. She joined the lab in September 2012 as a research associate and provides administrative support for the Brain Development Research Program. Though Beatrice plans to go to medical school, she is also interested in obtaining a Masters in Public Health. Her research interests lie within the realm of neurological disorders in pediatrics, specifically neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. Beatrice is most interested in early diagnosis and prevention along with the role of genetic as well as environmental influences in these disorders. In her spare time, Beatrice volunteers at the Berkeley Free Clinic and provides EMT services with Rock Med. Her hobbies include dancing, singing (badly), and traveling.
