Jiwandeep acquired his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. Having joined the lab as a research associate in September 2012, he began by providing administrative support to the Simons VIP project. He now works as a clinical research associate on the CURE Epileptic Encephalopathies project. His current research interests include human cognition and the neurological basis of psychopathology. He is currently planning to pursue a career in medicine, most likely in the field of psychiatry. Outside of his academic and professional interests, Jiwandeep loves to cook, a passion that inspired him to create and run a small dessert catering company known as The Artsy Tartlet. He also enjoys playing the guitar and singing in his spare time.
