Catherine joined the lab in April 2012 as a research associate and has been providing administrative support to the Brain Development Research Program. In the lab, Catherine has contributed to participant recruitment and enrollment, sample and data collection, and coordinated visits to UCSF. She is currently attending the University of California, Berkeley as she pursues her undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology, with an emphasis in Human Biology and Health Sciences. While on the path to pursue a career in medicine, Catherine’s research interests lie in the effects of Autism Spectrum Disorders on pediatric development. In her spare time, she is an active member of Autism Speaks U, an assistant coach to her alma mater debate team, and has recently become a volunteer at Children’s Hospital Oakland. She also enjoys traveling and never gives up an opportunity to explore new cities with friends and family.
