Dr. Brianna Paul is a pediatric neuropsychologist in the UCSF Department of Neurology. Her primary appointment is through the UCSF Epilepsy Center, where she evaluates children and adults with epilepsy. She also works with children with other neurological disorders, including brain tumors and hydrocephalus, as well as developmental issues such as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Paul’s research interests have centered around understanding brain and cognitive development of typically-developing children, and in children with neurodevelopmental conditions such as perinatal stroke or epilepsy, using cognitive measures and neuroimaging. Dr. Paul works with the BDRP on the Simons Variation in Individuals Project (Simons VIP).

Dr. Paul received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology (specialization in neuropsychology) from the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. She completed her internship training in neuropsychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Paul joined the UCSF Department of Neurology in 2009, after completing her fellowship training in child/pediatric neuropsychology at UCLA.
